Richard Moll, Actor Who Played Night Court’s Bull, Dead at 80

Richard Moll, who played the burly, bald-headed bailiff Aristotle Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon on Night Court, has died at the age of 80.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moll passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26th at his home in Big Bear Lake, California.

Moll appeared on all nine seasons of the NBC sitcom, which received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series.

His other television credits included appearances in Happy Days, The Rockford Files, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, and The Dukes of Hazzard. His film resume boasted roles in Hard Country, Caveman, and The Sword and the Sorcerer.

Additionally, Moll worked as a voice actor. His most notable performance came as Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series, but he also voiced characters in other ’90s-era cartoons including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Mighty Max, and Freekazoid!

In between his acting work, Moll was a frequent presence on Super Password, Body Language, The $10,000 Pyramid, and other television game shows.

Moll’s last on-screen appearance came in 2018. He was not part of the recent Night Court sequel series.
