Jack White Encourages Fans to Rip His New Album
Entertainment

On Friday, Jack White surprise released a brand new solo album by slipping vinyl copies to unsuspecting fans who stopped by Third Man Records’ retail locations in Nashville, Detroit, and London. Now, Third Man Records is encouraging those record holders to share the love by ripping the album and distributing it online.

Third Man issued the call to action on its Instagram on Friday night. In an Instagram story, the phrase “Rip It” appears over top an image of White’s new vinyl record.

In heeding to that request, Detroit public radio station WDET 101.9 FM played the album in full live on air, and a recording of the playback has since been uploaded to YouTube. Additionally, White’s official reddit page has uploaded a rip of the album to a Google drive.

White previously released a pair of solo albums, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive, in 2022.
