Pro wrestling legend Mick Foley has announced he is “parting ways” with WWE over the company’s “close relationship with Donald Trump.”

In an Instagram statement, the Hall of Famer revealed he had been “concerned” about WWE’s relationship with Trump for “several months” — particularly “in light of his administration’s ongoing cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and pretty much anyone who ‘looks like an immigrant’).” However, Trump’s “incredibly cruel comments” following Rob Reiner’s death were the “final straw.”

“I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a man so seemingly void of compassion as he marches our country towards autocracy,” Foley continued. “Last night, I informed @WWE talent relations that I would not be making any appearances for the company as long as this man remains in office.”

Foley has also decided not to renew his Legends deal when his current contract expires in June, which means WWE would no longer be able to market his likeness in exchange for royalties.

“I love WWE, will always treasure my time with them, and I am deeply appreciative for all the opportunities they afforded me,” Foley concluded. “But, in the words of Popeye the sailor, ‘I stands all I can stands, and I can’t stands no more.’”

Foley’s announcement comes shortly after he co-signed Jack White ripping Trump’s reaction to Reiner’s death.

WWE’s ties to Trump go beyond former WWE CEO (and wife of disgraced co-founder Vince McMahon) Linda McMahon serving in both administrations. Their son-in-law, current chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, is a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.

The company is also part of TKO Group Holdings alongside Ultimate Fighting Championship, which itself maintains a close relationship with Trump.
