Two weeks after The Cure returned with “Alone,” their first new song in 16 years, the band is back with another new single: “A Fragile Thing.”

Released today ahead of their upcoming 14th studio album, Songs of a Lost World, “A Fragile Thing” shows that the goth rock band is still in peak form. Featuring a tension-building piano intro, the song blossoms into a rock bop colored by a quintessentially Cure-ish guitar line. Stream “A Fragile Thing” below.

Due on November 1st, Songs of a Lost World has been a long time in the making. After being delayed from its original 2019 release, the band went on the massive “Shows of a Lost World” tour in support of the album, where they debuted many of its songs (including “A Fragile Thing”).

This past August, the release of Songs of a Lost World was officially confirmed, followed by the release of “Alone,” which earned Song of the Week status when it arrived. Pre-orders for the album are now ongoing.
