Men in Pink Suits Ruled the Grammys Red Carpet

Fashion

Everything was coming up roses on the Grammys red carpet, because a bunch of celebrities showed up wearing pink power suits. We’re guessing Lil Nas X, Tyler the Creator, Shawn Mendes, and Common hopped on a FaceTime conference call before the Grammys to coordinate, and now we are eternally grateful to them. Ranging from dominatrix cowboys to middle-school-dance chic, they gave us a wide spectrum of Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration we hope more men start to embrace.

See how each celeb interpreted the color du jour, below.

Crayola Color: Tickle Me Kink

‘Save a horse, ride a cowboy’ has never been more apt than when Lil Nas X decided to go western BDSM for the Grammys. His hot pink Versace outfit, which includes a leather harness and a fishnet top, makes us feel some kind of way.

Crayola Color: Ring My Bellboy

We love a campy awards show look, and Tyler the Creator took the cake this season. He dressed up as a bellboy reminiscent of The Grand Budapest Hotel, complete with a neatly packed suitcase. Maybe he’ll make like Ariana Grande and have a surprise outfit change midway through the show.

Shawn Mendes in Louis Vuitton

Crayola Color: My First Middle School Dance

Shawn Mendes has a penchant for well-fitting suits, and tonight was another prime example of his dapper style. Sure, it kind of looks like his mom dressed him up to serve punch at the community center, but did you notice his Bvlgari jewels? His necklace and pocket watch chain are so precious, we doubt he lets Camila borrow it.

Common

Crayola Color: Pinot Noir

Of all the boys tonight, Common played it the safest in a burgundy suit with a matching shirt. But to say that he looks like a fine wine is an understatement. I’d call him a really expensive glass of cab sauv, but that would require sommelier knowledge that my two-buck-chuck brain cannot muster.
