Nicole from Too Hot To Handle didn’t find love on the island, but she did make it to the end so she could have a piece of the cash prize. She was maybe the most normal woman at the retreat.
Throughout her time on Too Hot To Handle, Nicole didn’t have any love interests. She was best friends with Chloe. And while Chloe tried to see if she had a lasting connection with David…and then with Bryce…and finally with Kori, Nicole was merely a side character. Her narrative was representative of a major flaw in the structure of the show. There were originally five men and five women, and although they may all be attractive and enjoy sex, they weren’t all going to form deep romantic bonds. Even the reinforcements struggled to couple up with the original cast members. It would have maybe worked better in a Bachelor In Paradise format, where the ones who hadn’t found someone to couple up with left at regular intervals. But that wasn’t the case. Aside from Matthew and Madison, Nicole was the only one who didn’t go on a date or kiss someone. Matthew left midway through, and Madison entered too late to couple up with someone.
According to Reality Tidbit, Nicole lives in Greenwich, London, and is currently a professional social media influencer. She hails from Cork, Ireland, and graduated college in 2018 with a degree in commerce. She refers to herself as a “professional drinker” on the show, something many people stuck at home right now without jobs can relate to.
In her introduction on Too Hot To Handle, she appears commitment-averse. She tells the camera, “The lads that I’ve been dating, within three dates they tell me that they’re falling for me and then I’m like ‘ew, no’ and give them the snip.” On Too Hot To Handle, she didn’t have to worry about any of that.
It would be nice to see Nicole on another show, or perhaps a potential season 2 of Too Hot To Handle. She was always giving great confessionals, but we didn’t learn enough about her because she wasn’t romantically involved with anyone. Hopefully Too Hot To Handle can learn from its mistakes in season 1 and find a way to make it so that the contestants who stay the whole season are able to find a partner. Nicole deserved better than what she got on Too Hot To Handle.
