After a Minneapolis Black man named George Floyd was killed by a white police officer named Derek Chauvin on Memorial Day, celebrities began to donate money and match each other’s donations to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Michael Jordan and his company, the Jordan Brand, committed to donating $100 million over the next 10 years.
