Just like all survival games collecting resources is the most important aspect of Drake Hollow. By collecting these resources players can craft new equipment that will help them bring their enemies down. Players will be forced to work together with their allies to travel to brand new areas of the map and discover different kinds of resources that can be used for new kinds of crafting. One of the biggest obstacles for this is the Aether.
The Aether completely surrounds Drake Hollow that makes progressing to specific areas near impossible. The Aether is a very dangerous substance and will kill players fairly quickly if they stand in it for too long. In order to expand the map and discover all of the necessary resources, players will need to be able to cross The Aether. This guide shows players how to do that.

Drake Hollow: How to Cross The Aether
As soon as players step foot in The Aether the screen will begin to darken and creepy images will begin to flash before the player’s eyes. A small timer will appear onscreen that will begin counting down. If this timer hits zero then the player will die. Luckily, some areas of The Aether are fairly small and players will be able to cross them with no problems before the timer runs out. Many areas of The Aether can be pretty massive though, so without a special item players won’t be able to make it across.
Players will need to acquire The Aether Shards by progressing through the game. During the course of the main storyline players will eventually be able to craft this item. At a certain point in the campaign, players will be able to unlock the Curio Workshop which allows players to craft objects in the game. Once players have acquired the workshop they can then set out to find as many Glowstone Shards as they possibly can. Players will be able to harvest these stones from the massive purple crystals that pop up all over the map. Once players have quite a few of these Glowstone Shards they can craft them into Aether Shards back at their workshop. These Shards will allow the player to walk in the Aether for 15 seconds without any ill effects, so players should carry a few with them whenever possible.
Drake Hollow can be played on Xbox One and PC.
