Nubya Garcia performed songs from her new album, Source, for the latest installment of NPR’s “Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.” With her band, the saxophonist performed the title track, “Pace,” and “Boundless Beings” on the vast, swaying boat that houses Soup Studios, where she chose to perform because she is temporarily homeless, due to tour plans going awry when the pandemic hit. Other recent Tiny Desk performers include Bill Callahan and Phoebe Bridgers, who also chose an unorthodox location for her set.
