Sleaford Mods Announce Album Spare Ribs, Share Video for New Song: Watch

Entertainment

Sleaford Mods have announced a new album and shared its first single. The record is called Spare Ribs, and it’s out January 15 via Rough Trade. They’ve also released new song “Mork N Mindy” after performing it on Late Night With Seth Meyers yesterday. The song’s video was directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Rebecca). Watch both versions of “Mork N Mindy” below.

English singer Billy Nomates appears on “Mork N Mindy” and in the video. According to Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson, the album’s title was inspired by “the idea of the amount of people that died from the first wave of coronavirus; human lives are always expendable to the elites.… We’re in a constant state of being spare ribs.”

Earlier this year, the duo released the career-spanning compilation All That Glue. Their last studio album was last year’s Eton Alive.
