Glastonbury Festival is making the most of its current situation by throwing a global livestream, Live At Worthy Farm. For one night only, Glastonbury’s festival playground will come to life on our screens, showcasing the kind of unmistakeable talent we’ve come to expect after 50 years running.
The lineup features an eclectic mix of acts including Coldplay, Damon Albarn, HAIM, Idles, Jorja Smith, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Wolf Alice, and holding it down as the only DJ/producer on the roster, Honey Dijon. Plus, special guests and surprise performers yet to be announced.
Shot by acclaimed Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale, the ambitious production will take viewers on a journey of the world famous Glastonbury site, which typically greets more than 200,000 people each June. The ground-breaking, five-hour extravaganza will be met with a spoken word narrative, guiding festival-goers through the sacred valley in Somerset.
Co-organizer Emily Eavis shares:
After two Glastonbury cancellations, it brings us great pleasure to announce our first online livestream, which will present live music performances filmed across Worthy Farm at landmarks including the Pyramid and, for the first time ever, the Stone Circle. It will feature a rolling cast of artists and performers who have all given us enormous support by agreeing to take part in this event, showing the farm as you have never seen it.
The festival will be broadcast live across the UK & Europe, Africa & the Middle East, North America, Central & South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The broadcast will be stacked accordingly to accommodate various time zones on Saturday, May 22nd.
Tickets are on sale now for $27.50 — get yours at worthyfarm.live.
