Today is a good day for Rezzmau5 fans everywhere as REZZ and deadmau5 just unleashed their much-anticipated debut collaboration, “Hypnocurrency.” Out now on mau5trap, the full release follows up their NFT drop earlier this week.
“Hypnocurrency” finds perfect balance between REZZ’s minimal, bass-heavy tones and midtempo flair, and deadmau5’s progressive synth work and overall immersive soundscapes. Supercharged with eerie, hypnotic tones and textures, each distinct element finds its place in the instrumental mix as styles signature of both deadmau5 and REZZ shine through.
REZZ shares some insight on the track: “I feel like my Collab with deadmau5 is an exact split of his sounds and mine, which is a high standard I set before ever sending him an idea.”
It was always a matter of when not if the producers would jump on a song together and “Hypnocurrency” makes for an insanely fun listen for fans everywhere. Hopefully this is one of many collaborations to come.
