Dior ambassador Jisoo came, saw, and conquered Paris again, attending the French fashion house’s spring/summer 2023 show on September 27—and caused quite a bit of fan hysteria in the process. Now, ELLE.com is debuting an intimate look inside the Blackpink singer’s jam-packed day. In the video above, shot by Melinda Triana, Jisoo gives viewers her show diary, taking them through her glam process (including the exact Dior beauty products she used) and experience sitting front row. New photos of Jisoo taken by Pierre Mouton also offer an exclusive peek at Jisoo’s look for the presentation.
“Paris is a romantic and enchanting city, that also has a rich history,” Jisoo says in the video, which was translated from Korean into English via subtitles. “The city intrigues me, and I would love to explore more. Today, I will be attending the Dior spring-summer 2023 show. I feel like today is going to be a very interesting journey, so I’m really looking forward to it. Now let’s get ready for the show!”
Jisoo goes on to explain her beauty look: “For today’s show, I am wearing this black mini dress. I am going for a chic and elegant makeup look that goes well with the dress,” she says. “I used 5 Couleurs Couture 349 Prêt-à-Porter on my eyes today. The palette has various textures from soft velvet-like finish to satin and mattes. And for complexion, I used Forever Skin Glow Foundation 1N for a smooth and naturally luminous finish. I always use this foundation for a beautiful, radiant-looking skin that lasts all day. For the lips, I am wearing Rouge Dior 720 Icône. This lovely rosewood shade will add an elegant and radiant touch to today’s look. So this is my couture makeup look for today’s show.”
Regarding her outfit, “The dress I’m wearing today is from the Dior Cruise collection,” she adds. “I think this daring and feminine silhouette is very attractive.”
Next, the video depicts Jisoo’s arrival at the show’s space—and her first impressions of the fairy tale-like runway show put on inside. “As soon as I walked into the show space, I felt as if I was taken into a forest,” she says. “The place felt magical. It looked like the kind of woods you would find in a fairy tale. One of the most impressive moments of the show was its opening, when the lights dimmed and the dancers entered into the stage.”
“The way Maria Grazia Chiuri filled the show with an artistic performance was just amazing,” she notes. “My first impression of the show was that it was mystical. The silhouettes especially reminded me of royals from the past, which was very interesting. Designs fit for a queen. They were very beautiful, so much so I would like to try them on someday.”
Jisoo also highlights her favorite looks, saying, “The dresses with the maps of Paris printed on them were also very remarkable. I would like to congratulate Maria Grazia Chiuri, Peter Philips, and the Dior team for creating such a successful show. It was an honor to see your masterpieces here in Paris.” Watch the full video above, and view all the photos of Jisoo taken below:
