[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness Episode 4, “Deepthroat.”]
So far, the guest stars on the new HBO comedy series Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness have included a ton of Curb Your Enthusiasm alumni, but Larry David’s former co-star Cheryl Hines will not be making an appearance. Episode 4 of the series, “Deepthroat,” confirms that fact by directly parodying Hines’ current husband, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and his (idiotic) anti-vaccine views.
In the sketch, the mother of Jonas Salk (David in drag) is bragging to her neighbor Evelyn (Judy Gold) about her son inventing the Polio vaccine — a situation that escalates when another neighbor named Bobby (Gregg “Jeep” Perrie) starts yelling about how “that vaccine’s gonna kill people. It’s gonna give them heart attacks!”
As Variety reports, David and Kennedy were once friends, with David actually introducing Hines to Kennedy — but the friendship died after Kennedy aligned himself with the current presidential administration.

At the end of the sketch, David’s character cries that “If some idiot, some moron, ever put you in charge, that would be a dark day for humanity.” Then, “Bobby” is taken away to a psychiatric ward.
Previously, Pursuit of Unhappiness featured a sketch in which David and Rob Reiner’s George Washington ruthlessly mocked President Trump. New episodes premiere Fridays on HBO and HBO Max.2
