Slayyyter Drops “Crank 2” | Pitchfork

Entertainment

The time has come to crank it once more. Slayyyter has released a sequel to her breakout spring hit “Crank,” appropriately titled “Crank 2.” She paired the song with a self-directed video, full of classic Slayyyter imagery and more hints to her rumored next album, Wor$t Man in America. Watch it below.

It’s not the first time Slayyyter has offered up an altered version of an older song. In August, she released “Brand New Chanel$,” a pseudo-redux of her Wor$t Girl in America song “Beat Up Chanel$,” which reimagines the latter’s nasty electroclash hybrid as big-room EDM recession pop. Right now, she’s in the midst of a Wor$t Girl in America tour that will continue through the fall and includes a show later this month at All Things Go Festival.
