Soccer Mommy Returns with New Song “Rings of Saturn”

Entertainment

Fall sports are back in full swing and so is Soccer Mommy. Today, Sophie Allison released “Rings of Saturn,” her first song in two years. The somber track was produced by Rosalía and Björk collaborator Elliott Kozel, and comes accompanied by a dreamy visual directed by Suji Park. Check it out below.

“This song is about feeling lost and looking for hope from anywhere,” Allison explains. “I wrote it during a difficult time when I would often take my telescope out into the yard to look at the moon or at planets. There’s something about feeling small that can kind of take the weight off.”

Allison released her most recent album, Evergreen, in 2024. She followed that up last year with an acoustic version of the record, Evergreen (Stripped), Later this month, she will head out on a co-headlining tour with Snail Mail, set to kick off on September 30 in Charlotte. Just last week, Allison opened two shows on Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney’s joint the Flannel and the Fury Tour.
