Trump Rambles Like A Loon About Cushions At Women’s Health Event

Politics

Even when this White House tries to do simple, normal political things, Donald Trump has to be weird. Republicans are complaining and finger-pointing at Trump over the midterms because he has no message and is showing up in red states and babbling about himself.

The White House held an event for Trump to sign an executive order that would create a Women’s Health Division at the National Institutes of Health. All Trump had to do was show up, sit beside his wife, sign the executive order, and say a few words.

The White House, which I suspect was Melania Trump’s press team, planted a story in USA Today about how this was all the first lady’s idea.

According to USA Today:

First lady Melania Trump pressed her husband’s administration to give women’s health greater priority in medical research, USA TODAY has learned — a push that culminated Oct. 19 in an executive order creating a new division at the National Institutes of Health.

…

The initiative comes amid a flurry of meetings set up by the first lady herself inside the East Wing including working sessions with physicians and other experts in the public and private sectors. She met with officials from Health and Human Services to establish the task force.

By the way, Trump put Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in charge of the women’s health task force.

All Trump had to do was sit there and be normal, and he just could not do it.
