Back in January, mysterious artist Slingbaum announced his debut album Slingbaum One, which features a string of high profile musical guests. D’Angelo and Erykah Badu are two of those artists, and they appear on Slingbaum’s new song “Behoove,” which premiered on Giles Peterson’s BB6 Music radio show earlier today (May 23). Slingbaum One features only three tracks: “Behoove,” “Strangers,” with FKA twigs, Nick Hakim, Oumou Sangaré, and Questlove, and “Morphine,” which features Damon Albarn, Bilal, Syd, and jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal. Slingbaum One is a vinyl-only release.
Prior to Slingbaum One, Slingbaum’s song “Water Games” was featured on REVIVE Music Presents: Supreme Sonacy (Vol. 1) back in 2015.
