A new song featuring the late rap legend DMX, Swizz Beatz, and French Montana has been released. “Been to War,” which appears in season two of the Epix series Godfather of Harlem, arrives roughly one week after DMX died following an apparent drug overdose and subsequent heart attack. Listen to “Been to War” below.

Prior to his death, DMX was hospitalized and on life support for days. After his death, countless members of the music community shared words of remembrance. Among them was Swizz Beatz, who posted a tribute to the rapper as a video on Instagram, describing him as a “different type of artist, different type of creative, different type of soul.”
