Ryan Reynolds Thanks Blake Lively for Being ‘the Heart and Soul’ of Their Family

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively really enjoy trolling each other; it’s their social media love language. But today, on Mother’s Day, Reynolds posted a (mostly) earnest tribute to his wife of nearly nine years.

“It can’t be said enough… you’re the heart and soul of every moment this family shares. I’m grateful for the light and for the kindness you smuggle into each and every second of our lives. I see you in the eyes of our children… Every laugh. Every blink and every thoughtful moment of vulnerability. The tender grit it takes to be a mother in 2021 is an act of pure strength and heroism. Never could I have predicted anonymous airport bathroom sex would lead to this. Or how you’d hire Dog The Bounty Hunter to find me. Either way, I’m lucky to reflect a little of the sunlight you shine on all of us. Happy Mother’s Day, my love.”

Okay, so those “bathroom sex” and “Dog The Bounty Hunter” references were the troll part of the post, but at least he said some sweet things before that, right?

Late last month, he posted a photo of the two at Yankees stadium.

“Blake and Ryan are two extremely proud and private people, and keeping their relationship low-key and off radar is what’s worked so well for them over the years,” a source told Us Weekly in December 2020. “Away from the cameras, people may find it surprising to hear they’re just a regular couple who love to hang out and do the normal things together without making a song and dance about it all.”
