Kid Cudi’s prolific film career continues with the announcement today that he’s been working on his directorial debut for a feature film called Teddy. The Netflix project will also star Cudi and will be co-produced by Jay-Z. “This is a story I started writing in 2013 because I always wanted to write my own movie, so I said fuck it and started doing it,” Cudi wrote. The statement continues:
Cudi is set to star in Brittany Snow’s new feature film directorial debut, September 17th. Cudi and Snow also co-starred in A24’s new horror movie X. Cudi recently made two film appearances as fictionalized versions of himself: in Don’t Look Up and Bill & Ted Face the Music. There’s also a new documentary about him.
