Dinner attire doesn’t get much more flashy than Rihanna’s blinding neon yellow set. The new mom was photographed out at Nobu in downtown New York City, pairing a bold red lip and her new bangs with a striking yellow Balenciaga set. She accessorized with black sunglasses, as you do when you want to avoid the paparazzi’s camera flashes, and your outfit is as bright as clothes get.
Rihanna has yet to give an interview since welcoming her son with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May, but she did talk in April about the impact she imagines her child will her on her. “[I know] they’re going to teach me more than I could ever teach them,” she said. “And I want them to go for it. I want to see who they are in the world, who they become. Because I’m just here to keep them on the rails—a passenger as much as the driver.”
She said that she and Rocky didn’t intend to have a gender reveal party or anything. “When we’re ready to tell the world, we’ll just tell them,” she said.
She added that she felt emboldened to say yes to as much as possible during her pregnancy. “I think I even say yes to more now because I know it will be different on the other side of this,” she said. “At first I expected some magical change, but really I remain who I am. None of the dials are turned down.”
