The Batman’s Catwoman Actress Zoe Kravitz Is Eager To Start Filming

Entertainment

Zoë Kravitz is eager to resume filming her part as Catwoman in The Batman. The DC Extended Universe is going in a new direction with the Dark Knight after a few appearances by Ben Affleck under the cowl. Director Matt Reeves is helming a reboot of the character and has Robert Pattinson set to play the new version of Bruce Wayne. After multiple big-screen iterations of Batman, Reeves has teased how his take will be different with a few first-look images.

Reeves only released photos of his self-described noir detective vibe for The Batman once production was about to begin. The suit reveal video offered a chance to see what Pattinson will look like in the suit before set photos and videos surfaced online. Although some images from the set did leak, it is has been impossible for that to happen recently. Production on The Batman was shut down several months ago due to coronavirus and has yet to resume, and it appears Kravitz is yearning to get back in front of the camera.

A restart date for The Batman‘s production has yet to be announced, but the actress is ready to return now. Kravitz posted an image of Prince rollerskating in a Batman tank top on her Instagram story that read, “me ready to go back to work like.” The photo of the legendary musician is a fun one for Kravitz to share, especially considering Prince’s connection to Batman. He famously created an entire album of original music for Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman starring Michael Keaton.

For now, it remains unclear when Kravitz and the rest of the cast and crew for The Batman will get back to work. A recent update on production shared that the film will no longer shoot on location and could begin filming again in September. If this is true, then The Batman‘s filming hiatus will come to an end after nearly six months. The production delay already resulted in Warner Bros. postponing the film’s release to October 2021, so hopefully, the movie will be able to be completed by then.

Once production is able to return, there is a chance that more about Kravitz’ Catwoman will be revealed. She’s already teased that her DC costume could’ve been revealed already if it wasn’t for The Batman‘s delays. Now that filming could begin again in the near future, the first official look at Kravitz in the Catwoman suit could come soon. Even if Reeves doesn’t want to wait until September, some new looks at The Batman could be released during DC FanDome next month, along with an official update on the status of filming.
