Black Cat Gets A Venom Twist In Epic Symbiote Body Paint Cosplay

Entertainment

Felicia Hardy gets a bold Venom twist as Black Cat bonds with a symbiote in a stunning new body paint cosplay from the talented cosplayer Melissa Croft. Marvel’s greatest thief shines in the cosplay, which gives Black Cat her own symbiote suit that echos the original costume Peter Parker wore after bonding with what would eventually become Venom in the events of Secret Wars. Croft looks absolutely daring in the ensemble.

Black Cat is an iconic character in the Marvel Universe, who first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #194 and was created by Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard. Felicia Hardy is one of the greatest thieves in comics, as she often tangles with Spider-Man while trying to pull off some lucrative heists. Black Cat has been the romantic interest of Peter Parker, with their on-again, off-again romantic tension playing a vital part in their encounters. While Black Cat doesn’t have any natural-born superpowers, different versions of the character have had tychokinesis, allowing her to give bad luck to those around her. In Marvel’s King in Black event, Black Cat wore an Anti-Venom suit. And now, cosplayer Melissa Croft shows what the antihero would look if she bonded with Venom.

On her Instagram account, Melissa Croft shared her take on what Black Cat would look like if the Venom symbiote infected her. The body paint cosplay is reminiscent of Peter Parker’s symbiote suit, as it’s all-black but with a white logo on the chest. However, the look features Felica Hardy’s iconic long white hair, as well as an eye mask that’s like the one from her original costume, but is a little sharper around the edges. As is the case with most of Croft’s body paint cosplays, the ensemble is so well-done, it’s hard to tell that it’s painted, as it looks incredibly detailed and lifelike.

For those curious how Croft created the look, she listed the different paints, makeup, and other elements used to create the look in the caption of the Instagram post. Although, it takes a special skill to combine them all to create a look as stunning and realistic as Croft’s cosplay of Black Cat.

Croft is amazing at what she does, and at this point, it would be more surprising if she didn’t nail her epic body paint cosplays. With her symbiote Black Cat look, she did an excellent job bringing the Venom-ized antihero to life.
